Account and login

How do I create an account?

Open the Vocca app, tap “Create Account,” and enter your email, a display name, and a password. You may need to confirm your email before signing in; check your inbox (and spam folder) for the verification link.

I didn’t receive the confirmation email.

Check your spam or junk folder. If it’s not there, use “Resend verification email” in the app or contact support@thevoccapp.com.

I forgot my password.

On the login screen, use “Forgot password” (or the equivalent link). You’ll receive an email with a link to reset your password.

Cloud sync and data

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored on your device first. If you sign in and use cloud sync, a copy is also stored securely on our servers (Supabase) so you can use the app on multiple devices. You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings.

Can I use Vocca offline?

Yes. The app works offline; expenses and data are saved locally. When you’re back online, data can sync if you’re signed in.

Can I do math when entering an amount?

Yes. The amount field has a built-in calculator—type an expression like “50+30+20” and Vocca works out the total for you. Handy for splitting a bill or adding up a few items in one entry.

Subscriptions, billing, and referrals

Is Vocca subscription-based?

Yes. Vocca is sold as a paid subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google process your purchase, renewals, and receipts; you manage or cancel the subscription in your store account settings.

Do referral codes give a discount?

When we run a referral program, sharing your personal code earns you free time based on how many friends subscribe:

  • 1 referral — +7 days free
  • 3 referrals — +1 month free
  • 5 referrals — +3 months free
  • 10 referrals — lifetime access

Your friend also gets a discount at checkout when they use your code. Tiers, regions, and stacking rules can change—the app always shows current rewards. If a code is expired or ineligible, the app or store will explain next steps.

Is there a trial?

If a trial is available for your region and product version, its length and conditions are shown when you start checkout in the app or on the App Store or Google Play listing. You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged, following Apple or Google instructions.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Cancel anytime in your device subscription settings: on iPhone, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; on Android, open Google Play → Subscriptions. You can also use any in-app subscription management we provide.

Will I get a refund?

Refunds are handled according to the App Store and Google Play policies. Contact support@thevoccapp.com and we’ll help where we can.

Export and delete data

How do I export my data?

Vocca gives you three ways to take your data with you, all from within the app (Profile → Account):

  • Export Data (CSV) — a spreadsheet-friendly file of your transactions.
  • Data Backup (JSON) — a full backup you can use to restore your data.
  • Download My Data — a complete copy of your personal data for GDPR/CCPA requests.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Profile or Account, then choose “Delete account.” This permanently removes your account, email, and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

Security

Is my data secure?

We use industry-standard practices: data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL), and we use secure infrastructure (Supabase) for cloud storage. We do not sell your data. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

Supported countries and languages

Where is Vocca available? Which languages?

Vocca is available in the regions where the App Store and Google Play offer the app. The app supports English and Spanish; more languages may be added later. Primary language is English; Spanish has partial coverage (some strings may appear in English).
