Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Vocca account and all data associated with it. Vocca is operated by Mera Innovations, Inc. You can delete your account at any time — directly in the app, or by sending us a request.

Delete in the app (instant)

  1. Open Vocca and sign in.
  2. Tap your profile icon to open Profile.
  3. Scroll to the Danger zone section.
  4. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Your account and all associated data are permanently removed right away. This action cannot be undone.

Delete some data (keep your account)

You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove data. In Vocca you can delete individual items at any time:

  • Open any transaction, savings goal, debt, or category and tap Delete to remove it (along with its cloud-synced copy).
  • To request removal of specific data you can’t delete yourself, email privacy@thevoccapp.com with the subject Delete specific data and describe what you’d like removed.

Your account stays active; only the data you choose is deleted.

Delete by request

If you can’t access the app, email us from the address associated with your account and we’ll delete it for you:

We verify the request comes from the account owner and complete deletion within 30 days (usually much sooner).

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

  • Your account and sign-in identity (email, display name).
  • All financial data you entered — transactions, categories, budgets, savings goals, debts, and notes.
  • Your settings, preferences, and subscription/referral records.
  • Cloud-synced copies of the above.

Two things outlive the deletion, and we would rather say so plainly than imply the erasure is more total than it is. For legal, security, and fraud-prevention purposes we keep a deletion record: the date, the email address the account used, and any reason or feedback you chose to give. It contains none of your financial data. Separately, your data may persist in routine encrypted backups for a limited period before they are automatically overwritten; those backups are never used to restore a deleted account. Cancelling a paid subscription is separate

Deleting your Vocca account does not cancel a paid subscription, and it does not trigger a refund. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google rather than by us, so they have to be cancelled where you bought them:

  • iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Vocca → Cancel Subscription.
  • Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Vocca → Cancel.

Cancel first, then delete. If you delete the account while a subscription is still active, the store will keep billing you and we will have no account left to link the payment to.
